Released to help draw attention to the ongoing climate crisis, ‘Sharpened Knife’, the new single from award winning Swedish singer Titiyo and electronic music producer Paresse, aka Ivan Berggren, gets a new remix in a rare outing from Eskimo’s head honcho Captain E. Taking the original's dub influenced electronica one step further the good Captain delivers a spacious, heady remix.
Award-winning Swedish artist Titiyo and producer Paresse follow in the footsteps of compatriot Greta Thunberg, with their newest track Sharpened Knife, which released on Earth Day in April. The video, directed by David Nord, also stars Dominique Palmer, who is known as the face of climate activism in the United Kingdom.
A powerful, musical message on Earth Day 2022, as we hurtle towards the ‘sharpened knife’ of the climate crisis. 'Sharpened Knife' is an extraordinary collaboration between award winning Swedish singer Titiyo Jah and electronic music producer Paresse, that also features a spoken contribution from British climate justice activist Dominique Palmer (Fridays For Future).
Whilst he's been busy writing and releasing new music over the past year German nu-disco star Tim Bernhardt, aka Satin Jackets, also found time to dig into the vaults to resurrect and remaster an early release, Girl Forever.
Last spotted on Eskimo back in the distant days of 2019, London based duo Horixon return with The Beekeeper, a collaboration with Belgian singer and one half of Hydrogen Sea, Birsen. An understated leftfield pop gem, The Beekeeper's skeletal, dub inflected, rhythms, melancholic piano melody and subtly tropical percussion provide the perfect, balmy, backing for Birsen's gentle, lilting vocals.
